ABBOTSFORD, BC – Campground “C” is proud to bring you CCMA Winner and acclaimed Singer Songwriter Deric Ruttan, as he begins his cross Canada Tour which coincides with the release of his highly-anticipated, sophomore album, “First Time In A Long Time”. Friday April 18, with local artist Kristal Barrett at The Abbey Arts Centre.

On September 10th, 2007, Deric, (along with co-writers Aaron Pritchett and Mitch Merrett), won SOCAN Songwriter Of The Year at the 2007 Canadian Country Music Awards for the song “Hold My Beer” (recorded by Aaron Pritchett). While Deric has garnered 5 CCMA nominations in recent years, this is his first CCMA Award.

Kristal Barrett an Abbotsford favorite, will be showcasing songs from her recent debut album “High on Life”, you are sure to be entertained.

The brainchild of Echo One Productions Inc. founder Byron James, “Campground “C” serves to redefine the country-rock scene.” James’ mantra for this and other related Campground “C” events is, “This Ain’t Your Mama’s Country…It’s New Country That Rocks!”

Not to be confused with the 2nd Annual Campground “C” Festival in August. This Campground “C” event is one of many mini showcases that Echo One will be bringing to a theatre near you.
