Inverholme Schoolhouse Deas Island Park

Fast facts: The Inverholme Schoolhouse was originally located at 72nd Avenue and Ladner Trunk Road before it was relocated to Deas Island in late 1982.- The building served as a schoolhouse until 1927 when students were transferred to Delta Central School in Ladner.

Ian Meissner’s upcoming show, “Angels, Cherubs & Jook-Joints” is a collection of photographs taken from the artist’s recent visit to New Orleans, and on display at Evangeline’s until the end of April.

Not just an art opening, this event is also a fundraiser as $100 from the sale of each print will be donated to Meissner’s team in the Supercities Walk for MS. An opening reception takes place on Thursday, April 3rd, from 7:00 until 9:00, and all are invited to meet the artist, discuss his work, and support a good cause.

Evangeline’s Barbeque is located at 9381 Mill St., Chilliwack, and is open Tue-Sat from 11:30 until 8:00 (at the earliest). For more information or dinner reservations call 604-703-1680.
